ELDORADO


Gaily bedight,

A gallant knight,

In sunshine and in shadow,

Had journeyed long,

Singing a song,

In search of Eldorado.


But he grew old

This knight so bold

And o'er his heart a shadow

Fell as he found

No spot of ground

That looked like Eldorado.


And, as his strength

Failed him at length,

He met a pilgrim shadow—

"Shadow," said he,

"Where can it be—

This land of Eldorado?"


"Over the Mountains

Of the Moon,

Down the Valley of the Shadow,

Ride, boldly ride,"

The shade replied,

"If you seek for Eldorado!"

  1. de ziua lui 'nea Eminescu tu postezi Edgar Allan Poe ?

  2. Se mai intampla nah... Nu toti sunt asa conservatori. Si in plus, batranului Eminescu cred ca i-ar fi placut.
    In alta ordine de idei pe 19 ianuarie a fost ziua lui Poe. Poate ar fi trebuit sa postez o poezie de Eminescu sa-l serbam si pe el cum se cuvine:D. Am ratat momentul.
    Daca stai bine sa te gandesti, au trait impreuna o viata de om (Poe 40 de ani si Eminescu 39, cand a murit unul, s-a nascut celalalt). Nu e ciudat de frumoasa apropierea?
